MicroChem ® 2 is specially designed for drinking water plants, wastewater treatment plants, and swimming pools, with each MicroChem ® 2 can measure 3 of the following parameters: pHORP
(Redox), dissolved oxygen, chlorine gas, chlorine dioxide, bromine, ozone, conductivity, 4-20mA, and temperature (PT100). MicroChem ® 2 includes the following four functions:
Analyzer/transmitter: MicroChem ® 2 can receive signals from up to three sensors, with a wide measurement range.
Simple controller: MicroChem ® 2. Low level alarm and dead zone can be used to achieve switch control. This feature is included in the software of the analyzer/transmitter.
controller: MicroChem ® Combining sensor input signals and using standard PID algorithm to control the measured parameters; Alternatively, it can be used as a PID composite loop controller by combining sensor signals with 4-20mA flow signals. The control output signal can be either a 4-20mA control signal or a time shock output signal. Using a 4-20mA output signal, PID control can be achieved. If the device is set to use relay contact control, gain and cycle time are required. In this way, each set channel can output a 4-20mA signal. If one 4-20 mA output signal is used for control, the other 4-20 mA output signal can be used for feedback measurement values.
Mean controller: MicroChem ® Receive signals from 2 to 3 identical sensors, take the average, verify the performance of the sensors, and apply PID control algorithm to the average signal value. Control the output signal to be a 4-20mA signal. A signal of 4-20mA can also be used to output the average value. This controller is applied to large water tanks and dissolved oxygen (DO) aeration tanks. This function is included in the software of the controller.
Swimming Pool Controller: MicroChem ® Receive signals from pH, ORP, and/or residual chlorine sensors and display the measured values. Use specific PID algorithms for pH and residual chlorine or ORP. Control function is achieved through 4-20mA output signal or relay contacts. Using a 4-20mA output signal, PID control can be achieved. If the device is set to use relay contact control, gain and cycle time are required. In this way, each set channel can output a 4-20mA signal. MicroChem ® 2 can also display and transmit the temperature of the sample water.
Design Features
• Can receive input signals from up to three sensors and/or 4-20mA input signals
• Output up to three 4-20mA signals
Measure, display, and output the temperature of the sample water
Electrical isolation is used between input and output signals, as well as between all PC boards
Two pairs of digital inputs (contacts)
Up to 7 pairs of relay output contacts. The software can set the contact output to either NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed).
• Modularity&Flexibility: More channels can be easily added, and sensors can be replaced on-site to detect new parameters
The information driven menu is easy to use, and the menu language can be selected from the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian
• Alarm points and dead zones can be set arbitrarily through software
• Automatic temperature compensation
Password protection menu
• Alarm and warning information display
• Can output freeze
Drive sensor cleaning program through dedicated software and relay contact output signals
PH single point calibration program
The aeration tank balance controller can calculate and output the average value of three input signals, analyze variables, and output an alarm signal if the variable is higher than the set value to ensure accurate control.
• MicroChem ® Accept 4-20mA signal and implement pre feedback function through PID calculation
Suitable for outdoor installation enclosure (NEMA 4, protection level IP65)
Through the keyboard and display screen, settings and calibration can be performed without opening the device.
• MicroChem ® The swimming pool controller uses a specific PID algorithm to calculate pH and residual chlorine/ORP values.
• Self diagnostic function
During the calibration process, verify the sensitivity of the sensor
• Diverse testing items: chlorine gas (free chlorine and total chlorine, with buffer solution and without buffer solution), pH, ORP, Dissolved oxygen, chlorine dioxide, ozone, conductivity, 4-20mA DC signal, temperature, iodine and bromine
The residual chlorine analyzer of this amperometric method is certified by the US EPA and can be used for online detection of residual chlorine content in drinking water.
